Newtowne Grille & Sports Bar in Billerica

The food was great but the place needs a bit of improvement on the furnishings. I had the fish sandwich and it was delicious. My wife had the portabella burger which she found quite tasty. The onion rings also was tasty and were not greasy. The Cole slaw was just fine. The service was friendly.

Newtowne is one of my all time favorite spots. The pizza and wings are amazing and the prices are great. Every time you go is a thrilling and unique experience because you never know if you’re gunna get a waiter who verbally abuses you or one that showers you with unnecessary “thank you”s, or if someone is going to walk in on you peeing in the lockless bathroom stalls. But it’s all a part of the amazing, authentic and wonderful newtowne experience.

I like the reasonable price of the food and the tab beer was fantastic. The bartenders were friendly and caring. This will always be my place to pass by while I am in Boston.

I've long been a fan of this place!They have the best New York style pizza anywhere and a good selection of beer on draft. When put together, they have the best deal around: a pitcher of beer and a large cheese pie for between 12-19 bucks, depending on the kind of beer.

This place stands in hilarious contrast to the gentrifying, hipster-y (looking at you, 'no-phones-allowed' ramen shop) trend in and around Camberville. It's a dive in the best and worst possible ways, but really, that just makes it better. Not the best pizza I've ever had, but the quality:price ratio is off the charts.

Poor selection, low quality food, bad service

1130 Thursday Night Kitchen closed. Advertised as open. They cooks are moody and close when they fee like it.

The good: the pizza was really good. I would get their pizza again.The bad: not really a "bad" but the beer selection is small. A bit on the divey side, but I like that. Again, not so much a "bad".The ugly: ordered chicken tenders to start, never saw them. Server looked like she may have been either really tired or perhaps a little drunk. I wouldn't want to accuse anyone. She was definitely not on her A-game, as she ended up coming over with a completely different appetizer after we had eaten our pizza. We were full and didn't want it.

Food was great, we had the pizza. Service though was brutal, so slow. It took nearly thirty minutes for them to finally give us our check. Maybe it was a bad night? Food was worth giving another shot though so we'll be back.

Best value for money place in Cambridge

Great pizza and great wings. The not buffalo wings, can't remember what they were, they were really delicious. So delicious. Also the pizza is very good. The restaurant itself is fun and the people are very very nice. Eat here. You will not regret it. Honestly I want to go back thinking about it now.

One must go for what is gonna sound cliche but for a true Bostonian experience. The staff is great! One must also eat a pizza here.

their Chicken Parm sandwich is just amazing. I tried the fish and chips this time: I really liked the fish and chips - the coleslaw wasn't great, but overall a very tasty meal.

Loud, cheap and tasty. Embodies everything good and bad about a 'local dive'. Pizza and apps aren't mind blowing, but great bang for the buck. So if you're looking for a pitcher and whole pie to split without worrying about going broke, this is a prefect place to grab a booth.

Okay, in town for college tours. Have eaten here a couple times. Yes, it's an old local dive, but the food is awesome! Have had pizza, fish and burgers from here and everything has been great. Plus cold Sam Adams on tap. What else could you ask for?

The pizza was so good!!! All their food is delicious hands down. The bartender was very sweet and catering. Again I found myself back at the grille with my friend I got the steak tips she got the bacon cheeseburger and fries so good so cheap good time

Hadn't been in years! Then all of sudden as of lately hanging out twice a week now. It's a great neighborhood bar. Pretty good food and great prices for this city. One let down is kitchen isn't always open til scheduled time.

We met our daughter for lunch here and was so surprised by a fabulous menu and great prices for being in the city. Bartender/server was so sweet and food was excellent! Definitely will return when in the area 😀👍

One of my favorite Cambridge dives. Surprisingly amazing pizza and very inexpensive drinks. Great pitcher selection and a decent amount of TVs. Give it a try!

Let me start off by saying the table service is awful here and if you expect to be waited on in a timely manner at the busy dinner hour go somewhere else. That being said, if you looking for a pitcher and a pizza and a Boston sports game for a college student budget this is the best place in town. Just don't be shy trying to flag down a waitress or a bartender when you're ready to order or ready to pay.

Local roughish pub with very good and inexpensive food. That it exists in the middle of Cambridge is remarkable.

The Tuscan pizza was one of the best I've ever had.

Nice local place w keno. Good pasta sauce. Pizza is hit or miss. A small was good. Next time we got a large. It was soggy & mushy. Not good at all but we waited so long for it, didnt send back. Service also hit or miss in bar area. Waitress table service is probably better.

The best pizza and salad

Newtowne is great no matter the occasion. Solid food, good drinks, and awesome prices! Also, they have trivia on Thursdays, a scratch ticket machine, and Keno... what more can you ask for?

It's hard to rate this because it is what it is. It's one of those neighborhood hole in the wall bars it's so it's hard to say five stars for that but if that's what you're looking for then this is the perfect place. Personally, I think it's a great place to grab a drink or get some fast food. There is a sub shop it connected to it so you don't even have to go into the bar for lunch. The bar has a jukebox and it does get crowded. It also has Keno live. They never really hire the greatest bartenders but now I'm just getting very detailed. I think they like to hire ones that are not too friendly. I can handle the little experience because everyone has to learn somewhere but it seems like the ones that have been there longer Well appear to have been there longer have a bit of a chip on their shoulders. But like I said it is what it is. A great bouncer very nice and attentive and it's British pound if you're trying to beat the college kids away

Swag star wars music playing like I was on Tatooine in the mos eisly cantina. I consumed the flesh of a sacrificed bovine while bobbing my head to the tunes. 5 stars.

Great service. Delicious custom made veggie pizza. Veggie burger delicious too. Burgers were bit small though. Good place to eat on a Friday evening after work in Cambridge.

Cheap and delicious! The buffalo chicken sandwich is really good and an awesome deal.

Nothing wrong with it, just exactly the same as every other bar and grill. TV playing the same sports as everywhere else, same drink selection as anywhere else. But to get a lemonade you got a 20 ounce bottle and their was no free refills so that was a gip. Food was decent, had a grilled chicken honey sandwich which was a different idea which I appreciated. Honestly nothing spectacular or anything to scream come here again.

Decent food and good service. Happy it's in the neighborhood.
